Frequently Asked Questions

What is the compensation model?
You will be compensated with a flat unit value. Total units will be based on ASA base units and time units. Contractors are also eligible for mid-year and year-end performance and productivity bonuses.
What types of patients should I expect to care for?
Since we only cover outpatient surgery centers, patients are typically ASA I and II.
What types of surgeries should I expect to cover?
You will be asked to cover a wide variety of outpatient procedures. These will include orthopedics, spine, plastics, ENT, GI, pain management and general surgery. No pediatrics, trauma or cardiac.
Where are your surgery centers located?
Our surgery centers are all located in the Los Angeles area. More specifically, a majority of our locations are in Beverly Hills and a few in the South Bay (Manhattan Beach, Torrance).
How much vacation time am I allowed?
There is no cap on the amount of vacation you can take. We just ask that you inform us 3 months in advance so we can arrange for sufficient coverage.
When do I find out about my room assignment?
Schedules are emailed to you at around 5-6pm the night before.
What is a typical day like?
A typical day begins with a 7am in OR time. Depending on your assigned line up, your day might conclude anywhere between noon to late afternoon/early evening. We keep track of all assignments and distribute short and long days fairly among all contractors. Additionally, we will always do our best to honor your request for shorter or longer days.
